Tap, Chip, Swipe & Digital Wallets

Let customers pay their way, before you leave.

Bring familiar payment options to the doorstep, equipment room or service counter. DreamzFSM supports mobile card collection and contactless wallets through compatible hardware, so your team can offer an on-site checkout instead of asking the customer to call the office.

Create or open an invoice from the DreamzFSM mobile app while the service details are still fresh. Review the customer, services, currency and supporting attachments, then preview the invoice before moving to collection. A clear invoice gives the customer a clear reason for the amount due.

Payment Records & QuickBooks

One payment. A clearer trail back to the job.

Keep collection from becoming a separate spreadsheet. Recorded payments sit alongside invoice information in the mobile workflow, while the configured QuickBooks integration connects supported accounting records. Finance can then check the recorded amount against the actual transaction before marking the invoice as reconciled.

QuickBooks edition, data direction and refresh timing must match your enabled integration. A synced record is not, by itself, a reconciled bank deposit.

Portable Readers & Payout Options

Ready for the van. Ready for the next visit.

A lightweight reader can travel with the technician and still work at the service counter. Match the hardware to your mobile setup, and confirm processing costs and payout options before you start. Ask about Instapay availability without treating a payment approval as a guaranteed immediate bank deposit.

Card Reader FAQ

Questions about readers, payments and the service visit.

What is a mobile card reader for field service?

It is a portable payment device used to collect card or digital wallet payments during a service visit. With a compatible DreamzFSM setup, the collection step connects with mobile invoicing and payment records rather than becoming a separate office task.

Which payment methods can customers use?

The Card Reader workflow supports tap, chip and swipe payments through compatible hardware. Confirm the card types and entry methods enabled for your particular reader, payment provider and region.

Can customers pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay?

Yes. Customers can use Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay with a compatible card reader and the payment methods enabled for your merchant account. Confirm support for the reader and customer devices you expect to use.

How does the reader fit into the DreamzFSM mobile app?

Your technician uses the mobile invoice workflow to review the customer, services and amount, then collects using the enabled card-reader setup. Payment records stay available in the mobile app. Confirm the pairing steps for your selected hardware.

Can I use a card reader I already own?

Confirm compatibility before purchasing or reusing hardware. The reader model, payment-provider account and mobile app must work together. Share your existing reader model with our team so we can confirm support before you purchase or connect hardware.

Can I accept card payments without an internet connection?

Confirm offline-payment support for your chosen reader, provider and app before relying on it. Offline access to job records does not, by itself, establish offline card-payment support. Plan around the connection requirements of the approved setup.

Does the workflow connect with QuickBooks?

DreamzCMMS offers QuickBooks integration for supported customer, invoice and payment workflows. Confirm your edition, enabled records, sync direction and refresh timing. Accounting synchronization and invoice reconciliation are separate steps.

What will the reader and payment processing cost?

Ask our team to confirm the hardware cost, transaction rate and any additional fees for your merchant setup. Review the applicable rates and terms before enabling payments rather than assuming one price applies to every account or region.

Is Instapay available for faster payouts?

Ask about Instapay for faster payouts. Our team can confirm eligibility, fees, bank support and expected timing for your account. Availability should not be treated as a guarantee that every transaction reaches your bank immediately.

Is an approved card payment the same as a bank deposit?

No. Payment approval, a recorded invoice payment and the bank payout are different events. Finance should verify the actual transaction and settlement before marking an invoice as reconciled.

How is a card reader different from an online payment link?

A reader is used for an in-person card or wallet payment at the visit. An online payment link lets the customer open a hosted payment page remotely. DreamzFSM offers connected invoicing and payment workflows; enable the methods appropriate to your business.

How does VEDA help at the end of a service visit?

VEDA can help your team review connected equipment history, summarize completed work and prepare follow-up work orders. Review the generated output before using it. This assistance does not replace customer payment authorization or finance checks.
