Why Connected Sales Inventory

Less guessing about stock.
Clearer customer commitments.

Field sales inventory management connects product availability with the sales conversation. Reps can check inventory context while preparing an order, and the office can review the same item information when arranging the next step.

Sell with stock in viewCheck the product and quantity before making a commitment that the office has to explain later.
Work from shared recordsGive sales and inventory teams a common starting point instead of separate stock lists and messages.
Keep the handoff connectedCarry the item identity and requested quantity into the order, then follow the relevant stock transaction.
Spot the need to replenishBring low-stock items into review while there is still time to discuss the next supply decision.
Inventory Visibility for Field Sales

Check the stock.
Then agree the next step.

Give your reps access to connected inventory during the customer conversation. Review the available quantity and item details before preparing a quotation or order. A current stock check helps the team discuss what can be supplied without relying on yesterday’s spreadsheet.

Product Catalog, Quantities & Pricing

Use the right product details.
Build a clearer order.

Select products or services from the mobile sales catalog rather than rebuilding the item list in a message. Keep pricing and inventory details beside the requested quantity. Category-wise stock reporting adds another way to review the product groups your team sells.

Sales & Inventory Synchronization

Keep the order connected.
Make stock changes traceable.

Connect sales activity with inventory updates through the configured transaction workflow. Inventory transaction types distinguish inbound and outbound activity, while the history report records quantity changes and the people involved. Agree which completed action updates stock, so a draft order is not mistaken for a physical movement.

Low-Stock Visibility & Replenishment Review

Spot the shortage.
Plan the response before the promise.

Use the Low Inventory Report to identify items below their minimum stock levels. Review the product, current quantity and category, then coordinate replenishment with the inventory team. Keep the customer discussion informed while supply timing and the next action are confirmed.

Industrial supplies

A buyer requests a particular filter or component. Keep the code, unit and supply requirement together before sending the order for review.

Product Catalog vs Stock Availability vs Inventory History

Three views.
A clear purpose for each.

Use the item record, current quantity and transaction history together. Each answers a different question.

01 / PRODUCT CATALOG

What are we selling?

The catalog describes the product or service. Use the correct identifier, selling unit and relevant pricing so the customer request is clear.

Focus: the item being offered
02 / STOCK AVAILABILITY

What quantity is recorded?

The stock view describes the quantity available in the current record. Check the relevant location and timing before discussing supply.

Focus: the stock position
03 / INVENTORY HISTORY

Why did the quantity change?

The transaction history explains changes in quantity. Review the movement type, before-and-after values and recorded user when investigating a difference.

Focus: the movement behind the number
Product catalog, stock availability and inventory history: a practical comparison
View What it shows What to check Typical use
Product catalog Product or service information. Item code, name, unit and price. Build a clear quotation or order.
Stock availability The quantity recorded for an item. Current quantity and relevant location. Review whether the request can be supplied.
Inventory history The sequence of stock transactions. Movement type, quantities, time and user. Investigate a change or discrepancy.
A stock check is not a reservation or a delivery promise. Confirm any allocation, fulfillment timing and approval requirements through your agreed process. Keep the item quantity, order decision and physical stock movement as distinct records.

Field Sales Inventory Management FAQ

Questions about connecting
your sales and stock records.

What is field sales inventory management software?

Field sales inventory management software connects inventory information with the work of sales representatives. DreamzFSM brings stock visibility and product details into the sales workflow, helping reps prepare orders while the office reviews the same item context. It links selling decisions with the records used to supply the customer.

Can sales reps check stock while visiting a customer?

Yes. The Field Sales solution provides connected inventory visibility during active sales. Use the available stock information while discussing a quotation or order, and check that the record is current. Confirm any fulfillment commitment with the responsible team rather than treating a displayed quantity as a guaranteed delivery.

Can products be selected from a mobile sales catalog?

Yes. Mobile sales order creation includes a product or service catalog with pricing and inventory details. Select the customer, add the relevant items and enter the requested quantities. Review the unit of measurement and product identity before submitting the order.

Can sales orders and inventory stay connected?

Yes. DreamzFSM connects mobile sales orders with inventory, CRM and invoicing. Inventory updates follow the transaction workflow configured for the business. During setup, agree which action changes stock and how an order change, cancellation or stock correction should be handled.

Does creating a draft order automatically reduce stock?

Do not assume that every draft order reduces stock. The published Field Sales page describes inventory updates linked to transactions, but the exact stock-posting event must be confirmed for your setup. Keep drafting, approval, stock movement and delivery confirmation as separate steps in the process.

Can we review inventory by product category?

Yes. The Category-wise Available Stock Report groups inventory by category and includes product codes, names, quantities, units, costs and prices. Use it to review a product group before a sales discussion or to identify areas that need a closer stock check.

How can we identify items that need replenishment?

The Low Inventory Report highlights items below their configured minimum stock levels and provides item details for review. Use the report to prioritize a replenishment discussion. The quantity needed depends on demand and supply planning; a low-stock indication does not by itself confirm a purchase order.

Can we see why an inventory quantity changed?

Yes. Inventory History records stock movements and adjustments with before-and-after quantities, transaction types, timestamps and user information. Review that sequence when investigating a discrepancy. Check the related operational records and physical stock before deciding that a recorded difference is an error.

Can inventory records include different locations?

The documented Inventory History Report covers transactions across locations and categories. Define the relevant inventory locations for your deployment and keep that context with each movement. A quantity recorded at one location should not automatically be treated as stock available at every other location.

Can inventory reports be exported for review?

Yes. The documented category-wise stock, inventory history and low inventory reports include export options. Share the relevant report with the people reviewing supply or stock changes. An exported file is a snapshot, so recheck the current system record before making a new customer commitment.

Can this connect to an existing inventory or ERP system?

An external inventory connection needs to be scoped for the system involved. Agree which application owns the item and quantity records, the shared product identifiers, the fields to exchange and the update timing. Confirm the interface and test the normal and exception paths before relying on the connection.

What should we prepare for a sales inventory demo?

Bring a sample product list, selling units, inventory locations and one customer order. Include a normal stock check, a low-stock item and the step that currently changes quantity. This makes the walkthrough specific to your team and shows which handoffs and records need to stay connected.
