Real-Time Energy Visibility

See energy use across every connected site.

Bring connected meter and sensor readings into a shared facility view. Review consumption by site, building or equipment where the metering supports that detail, with asset and location context to help your team find the source of a reading.

Abnormal Energy Alerts

Flag unusual readings. Give the next step an owner.

Receive alerts when connected energy readings fall outside configured limits or expected patterns. Keep the reading, asset, location and alert context together so the facilities team can review the issue and decide on an appropriate response.

Linked maintenance action

An alert identifies a condition to investigate; it does not confirm a fault or the cause of higher consumption.

An illustrative AHU-04 reading of 38 kW exceeds a configured 32 kW threshold by 6 kW. The alert is shared with the facilities team for investigation.

Energy-Linked Maintenance

Turn an energy concern into accountable maintenance.

Move from a reading to a documented response. Create or route inspection and maintenance work through your configured workflow, assign the right team and preserve notes, readings, photos and completion history against the asset.

Energy Monitoring FAQ

Answers for facility and maintenance teams.

What is facility energy monitoring software?

Facility energy monitoring software helps teams collect and review energy readings, identify unusual patterns and connect the findings to operational decisions. In DreamzCMMS, energy visibility can be combined with asset records, alerts, maintenance work and reporting.

Can DreamzCMMS monitor energy across multiple sites?

Yes. DreamzCMMS supports energy monitoring across connected facilities. The level of detail available by site, building, floor or equipment depends on the meters, sensors and location mapping included in the deployment.

What is the difference between kW and kWh?

A kilowatt (kW) measures power: how quickly equipment is using energy at a given moment. A kilowatt-hour (kWh) measures energy used over a period. A 10 kW load operating steadily for two hours uses 20 kWh. The example graphics keep demand readings and consumption totals separate.

How often are energy readings updated?

Update frequency depends on the meter, gateway, integration and connectivity. Connected feeds can provide real-time or interval-based updates. Confirm the required refresh interval and how missing or delayed readings will be handled during implementation.

Can the system alert us to abnormal energy usage?

Yes. The energy-monitoring workflow supports alerts for abnormal usage patterns. Configure the relevant thresholds, asset context and notification workflow for the equipment being monitored, then use the alert to guide investigation.

Can an energy alert lead to a maintenance work order?

Yes. Energy concerns can be connected to inspections or maintenance work in DreamzCMMS. Creation, routing, assignment and approval behavior depend on the configured workflow. Keep findings and completion evidence linked to the asset.

Can DreamzCMMS connect with existing meters or a building management system?

Compatible meter, IoT and building management system data can be connected through the integration setup. Required gateways, interfaces and field mapping must be assessed for your equipment. Monitoring and maintenance integration are distinct from automatic building control.

Can we use energy reports for sustainability reviews?

Consumption trends, site comparisons and maintenance records can support sustainability and management reviews. A lower consumption total alone is not proof of an efficiency gain: operating hours, occupancy, weather and other changes should be considered. Software does not by itself provide certification.

How does VEDA AI help with energy-related maintenance?

VEDA helps users find asset and maintenance information and prepare work using natural language. Energy-specific questions require the relevant readings to be connected and available under the user's permissions. Review suggested actions against the actual asset and operating conditions.

What should we bring to an energy monitoring demo?

Bring a list of sites and critical equipment, the meters or building systems you use, sample readings or reports, and an example of how your team responds to high usage today. This helps define the data connections, monitoring scope and maintenance workflow.

See the energy pattern. Connect the next action.

Bring connected readings, facility assets, abnormal-use alerts, maintenance follow-up and performance reviews together in DreamzCMMS.
