Astound Broadband manages a large volume of IT assets (primarily laptops and field equipment) distributed across multiple locations and departments.
The IT operations team faced challenges in maintaining visibility into asset ownership, ensuring accountability for allocations, and auditing unallocated items.
Additionally, manual asset allocation and user login processes caused delays and inconsistencies in managing data securely across the enterprise.
Astound required a centralized, secure, and automated system for asset tagging, allocation, deallocation, and auditing—integrated with their Ping Federate SAML SSO environment to streamline authentication for internal users.

Web & Mobile Allocation Management: IT administrators and technicians can allocate and deallocate equipment directly from both the web portal and mobile app.
Customer & User Lookup: Technicians can quickly assign assets to internal users or external customers, supported by a quick allocation view.
RFID Tracking: Assets in the inventory room are monitored via RFID readers to track unauthorized movements and identify unallocated assets leaving the facility.
Automated Audit Trails: Every allocation, deallocation, and status change is logged, ensuring full visibility and accountability.
SAML SSO Integration: DreamzCMMS was integrated with Ping Federate to enable secure, seamless single sign-on (SAML) for Astound Broadband users.
UI Enhancements & Report Optimization: Streamlined interface with unused tabs (e.g., financials, warranties) removed, and reports redesigned to include fields like model, PO number, and warranty details.
