A Colombia based leading retail company who are dealing with various items to sell every day through retail shops. They used to forward those inventory items from the warehouse. But it became hard and tedious and time taking process day by day to track the inventory. Therefore they were looking for RFID solutions for their retail warehouse.
The company has a point of sale in New York and also sells through online. Therefore they need to take care of the actual inventory of items in the warehouse. The manufactured items need to be transferred from the warehouse as per the demand received from the retail shop or online. For this they were taking notes on paper and feeding them into excel sheets. So inventory counting becomes a hurdle for them when the demand increases. Also it was a challenge for them to track all those items and too much time taking. As a result, the team reported late about how many of them were dispatched or moved from their warehouse and returned back as well. Finally they started looking for better inventory tracking and monitoring the supply chain..
The customer got to know about DreamzCMMS, informed about their requirements & pain points of their current inventory tracking to DreamzCMMS team. The DreamzCMMS team suggested both RFID hardware and software solutions to them including the RFID label printer. They selected DreamzCMMS after a successful demonstration and found easy to use RFID based item enquiry and dispatch. They have additionally integrated the inventory solution with Shopify that they were using for retail selling.
DreamzCMMS team collected the inventory item details analyzed and coordinated with the client team to upload asset data as per their requirement. For them a total of 3 sessions were planned to train them about how to use the solution. As per their Floor Manager now they are comfortable with the platform. They have understood and started executing.
After the preliminary sessions, the client downloaded the readily available templates to prepare for importing existing inventory into the system. Using the CSV import, they added over 1000+ inventory items in the application within a few minutes.
After the product categorization and warehouse location creation, Clients uniquely serialized using the RFID scanner and labeled with an RFID tag. Using the RFID handheld scanners and fixed line scanners they are now able to track their inventory movement, dispatch , items in-transit and receive; They just installed the mobile app from both App store (iOS) and play store (android) and logged on using their DreamzCMMS RFID app.
Clients are already using Shopify at their retails section. Therefore they need an integration between shopify and DreamzCMMS to use a single system without any duplicate task. DreamzCMMS has the scalability to integrate with other 3rd party solutions. Now two way handshake between system made them smooth run on work execution
The client can now manage asset inventory efficiently in less effort and time using RFID App. . Previously the inventory activities like stock taking, inventory counting, issuing item stocks, receiving stocks etc. was hectic and remained prone to human error. DreamzCMMS RFID solutions provided them effortless and human error free execution.
The client can now perform a bulk scan in a minute for inventory count, easily identify misplaced items, reconciliations and more at the warehouse. Clients can also make enquiry for items rightly available by location, which should have been available but not found and additional items found with clear demarcations.
The stock out of the items from the warehouse and the stock into retail shops and also the returned items which can be easily handled with quick scanning. Using the Dispatch feature, the user can create a list of items ready to dispatch through bulk scan. When dispatched, the system provides the report of items which are in-transit. In-transit dispatches can be easily tracked throughout the delivery process. At the retail shops the users scanned those items again to validate and accept.
Throughout the journey the allocated user of warehouses and retail shops are scanning using RFID scanners in very minimum time, scan data is captured perfectly and produced for complete tracking and tracing.
