A small company growing commodities for the state market became a top producer of a wide range of farm commodities. The company decided that it needed a robust, flexible asset and maintenance management system to effectively maintain its facilities: produce processing, packaging plant, frozen food facility, packing shed, and multiple fresh vegetable packing and supply sheds.
As the company grew in size and started producing more, they started facing downtime due to untimely equipment breakdown. Soon they realized they needed a Maintenance Management for routine inspection and maintenance to minimize the downtime and utilize the full potential of their machineries and equipment.
They also created a team for maintenance operations that looked over their maintenance and related operations.
The company implemented a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), DreamzCMMS. Their maintenance department adopted the DreamzCMMS solution to be used companywide.
After DreamzCMMS mobile app was selected, the implementation team worked closely with the consultant. And within a couple of weeks, facilities were up and running in DreamzCMMS. Technicians required only minimal training to jumpstart; they started to plan and schedule work orders.
During implementation, the technician team with the help of DreamzCMMS implementation team worked to build the asset register and started with scheduled work orders. They added all the required maintenance activities in a checklist and attached them to work orders, as necessary.
In every work order, with each required activity, a technician is assigned with estimated hours. Using the DreamzCMMS Mobile App, technicians log hours, findings, completion notes. Also they attach images and take video of fixed area or equipment and close work order.
This activity helped them in understanding and gathering information about their maintenance activities. Also it helps in tracking asset maintenance history and technicians as well.
Cultivation in the greenhouse needs routine inspection and maintenance. With a cyclic season for crops, it’s essential to find and fix any defect in greenhouse before and after crops cultivation.
A Routine Inspection work at the beginning and end of season is scheduled. All these are assigned for each of the facilities to technicians. Another schedule is prepared after 3 days from the completion date of routine work to fix the facilities.
Checklist of activities are attached to each of the work orders where technicians can mark each of activities pertaining to a specific part or function of the facilities.
Configuring triggers on events is more dynamic and is the backbone of integration with Internet based sensors to proactively report.
DreamzCMMS utilizes Internet based sensors to proactively report and log data for Preventive Maintenance. As the data are available to monitor such as air quality, soil moisture, temperature from sensors. They set up a threshold limit for each of their sensors at various facilities and send alerts.
Whenever a sensor reports a breach in threshold limit, DreamzCMMS creates a maintenance job (work order) automatically and assigned to a technician, following a defined automated workflow. Emergency work orders are assigned to a specific technician team. They gets notification immediately on the DreamzCMMS Mobile App once work order generates
DreamzCMMS has extensive built-in data validation to improve data integrity, and with its fully integrated modules, the customer could trace all historical information. Also, its custom reporting options eliminated much of the need to manually manipulate reports.
Interlinked modules also keep track of associated data from assets, parts, inventory, and maintenance.
